cerebral palsy A condition that affects body movement and coordination. It is caused by brain injury or brain malformation that occurs before, during, or immediately after birth when an infant's brain is still developing
Collaboration Working together on a common purpose.
decision matrix A tool for comparing design solutions against one another, using specific criteria that are based on project requirements.
design artifacts A group of documentation that can include client interview responses, observations, research, design drawings, prototypes, photos, videos, test results, or satisfaction surveys.
design process - A systematic problem-solving strategy that designers follow to come up with a solution to a problem.
Iterations Repeating process steps to continuously improve a work product.
Model An accurate representation of an object or phenomenon. Models can be visual, physical, mathematical, or computational and are often used in the development of scientific theories or the engineering of artifacts.
Orthoptist -A medical professional who helps patients who require body braces, called orthoses, to support their backs, legs, or feet.
Orthosis A brace that corrects alignment or provides support to correct a disorder of the limbs or spine.
Prototype A working model used to test a design concept by making observations and necessary adjustments.
Solution The answer to a problem or opportunity.
spastic hemiplegia Spastic hemiplegia is a neuromuscular condition in which muscles on one side of the body are in a constant state of contraction.
team norms Guidelines that are developed by a team regarding how they are to interact, communicate, and conduct themselves as part of the team.
