What is a gene A small section of DNA that give the instructions for a particular trait. Genes can either be dominant or recessive. A dominant gene is represented by a capital letter, and a recessive gene by a lower case letter.
What is a genotype The genes that offspring receives from its parents (1 from each) for a particular trait. They are represented with letters (BB, Bb, bb)
