A slow long-term inflammation lasting for prolonged periods. Chronic Inflammation
A disorder or condition that is present at Birth. Congenital
A fluid-filled sac that can occur in tissues in any part of the body. Cyst
The medical term for a bruise. Ecchymosis
Term for wearing away, can be used for tooth or tissue structure. Erosion
The condition in which the tongue becomes inflamed and swollen. Glossitis
Term for an area of inflammation, often in response to a local irritant. Granuloma
Term for a swelling or mass of blood collected outside of a blood vessel. Hematoma
The body's immune response to irritation or injury. Inflammation
Term for an area of abnormal tissue, which can be benign or malignant, Lesion
The type of cancer that affects the white blood cells, bone marrow, and lymphatic system. Leukemia
Term for the formation of white spots or patches on the tongue, cheeks, and oral mucosa. Leukoplakia
Term for inflammatory benign skin condition that affects the skin and oral mucosa; appears as flat-topped pink or purple bumps. Lichen Planus
Disease or swelling of the lymph nodes. Lymphadenopathy
A type of cancer that affects the immune system. Lymphoma
To spread from 1 part of the body to another. Metastasize
Term for a highly addictive and illegal drug that can be used as a central nervous stimulant, but mainly as a recreational drug. Methamphetamine
The informal name for the rampant tooth decay caused by heavy meth use. Meth Mouth
