Digestion System Organs

Esophagas Muscular tube that food travels down and undergoes peristalsis: Circular and longityud muscle
Pancreas Produces enzymes that break down cabohydrates, proteins and fats
Small Intestine absorbs fatty acids
Stomach Facilitates mechanical digestion
Liver Production site of bile.
Duodenum The beginningof the snall intestine; Recieves sodium bicarbonate and bile.
Rectum Receives and holds th stool
Epiglottis A flap the covers the windpipe
Anus opening where waste xists in the body.
3 parts of the small intestine Duodenum, jejunum, and lleum
Bolus Ball of mush that results from chewing your food.
Bile yellowish liquid that digests fat in the stomach.
Lumen Dgestive track opening from the mouth through to the anus.
Bucchal Cavity Mouth, tougue, and teeth.
4 types of Teeth Incisors, canines, premolars, and molars.
3 pairs of salivary glands Parotid, subligual, and submandibular
