Communication Disorders

| Phonology | Refers to a set of rules for how sounds form syllables and words. |
| Syntax | describes how words can combine together to form meaningful utterances. |
| Communication Disorder(s) | Any breakdown in the elements and/or processes of communication. |
| Speech Language Pathology (SLP) | Health Care Field that specializes in the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of communication disorders, |
| Expressive Language Assessment | Refers to the SLP assessment of ones ability to encode information using language. |
| Receptive Language Assessment | Refers to the SLP assessment of ones ability to understand and decode a message. |
| Speech Articulation | SLP Assessment that Refers to how sounds for speech are made. |
