Occipital Lobe lobe of the cerebrum responsible for visual input
Cerebellum section below the back of the cerebrum Responsible for muscle coordination The second major structure of the brain.

Corpus Callosum an arched mass of white matter found in the depths of the longitudinal fissure. Deep bridge of nerve fibers located between cerebral hemispheres
Frontal Lobe lobe of the cerebrum responsible for decision-making, personality, and motor movements
Spinal Cord responsible for carrying afferent messages up to the brain and efferent messages from the brain to the nerves
Sulci the grooves in the brain
Cerebral Cortex outermost layer of the brain that is associated with our highest mental capabilities

Parietal Lobe lobe of the cerebrum that deals with somatic sensory info

Medulla Oblongata regulates heartbeat, respiration, swallowing, coughing, and blood pressure lowest part of the brain and the lowest portion of the brainstem

Thalamus Relay center for sensory info from body to cerebrum; influence mood and movement
Hypothalamus Responsible for homeostasis; regulates the endocrine system (pituitary); swallowing and shivering; sweating; hunger and thirst centers; fear and rage; sleep-wake cycle; sexual development
Pineal gland a small, pea-shaped gland in the brain best known for the secretion of the hormone melatonin. Controls your sleep cycle
Pituitary gland small pea-sized gland that plays a major role in regulating vital body functions and general wellbeing "master gland"
Brainstem Made up of the midbrian, pons, and medula oblongata
