| Punnett Square | diagram that is used to predict the genetic outcome of a cross between two parents |
| Genotype | combination of genes in an organism |
| Phenotype | outward appearance of a trait |
| Homozygous | when there are two identical alleles for a trait such as TT or tt |
| Heterozygous | when there are two different alleles for a trait such as Tt |
