Producers Make their own food. Mostly plants.
Consumers Can't make their own food. Mostly animals.
Herbivores Organisms that consume plants only.
Carnivores Organisms that consume animals only.
Omnivores Organisms that consume both plants and animals.
Adaptations Adaptations are special features that allow the organism to survive in its habitat.
Adaptations in Plants- A cactus can store water to survive in a dry environment.
Adaptations in Plants- Palm Trees have large roots to stabilize them in the wind.
Adaptations in Animals- Lions can see better in the dark, so they can hunt even after the sun sets.
Adaptations in Animals- Fish have gills that absorb oxygen from the water as they swim, which lets them breathe underwater.
