Derived traits of land plants -alternation of generations- between 2 multicellular stages in their reproductive cycle- haploid and diploid -multicellular, dependent embryos -walled spores produced in sporangia -multicellular gametangia -apical meristems- produce root cap
Plant alternation of generation sporophyte (2N) ->meiosis-> Spore (N) -> Gametophyte (N) ->mitosis-> Gamete (2N)
