renewable resource a resource that can be replaced quickly i.e. sunlight
reservoir a storage area built by people that stores water
water footprint the amount of water that a person uses or that is used for that person's benefit
climate the average weather in an area over many years
weather how the atmosphere is at a specific place and time including the temperature, wind, sunshine, precipitation, etc.
erosion material like rocks and dirt being taken away by wind, water, and other forces.
weathering breaking rocks into smaller pieces
ozone layer a blanket of gas that protects the earth from getting too much radiation
deposition material like rocks and dirt landing in a new place
