| 1. Nutrition | Food and drinks containing sugar cause decay. Foods (cheese, fruit, nuts and vegetables) are better for your teeth. A diet (fruits, vegetables and minerals) can help prevent gum disease and mouth cancer. |
| 2. Plaque control | Prevention of gingivitis and marginal periodontitis. Prevention of dental caries. |
| 3. Fluoride therapy | strengthen enamel and protect teeth against damage from plaque. Along with possibly making dietary changes, using these can help the teeth repair any minor damage from tooth decay. |
| 4. Dental check-ups | evaluate the health of your mouth and look for any signs of cavities, gum disease, infection, oral cancer and other dental health problems, also take X-rays to detect issues that are invisible to the naked eye. |
