Compare and contrast the roles of government agencies

TermDefinition
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) ensure safe and healthful working conditions for workers by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education and assistance.
Center for disease control and prevention (CDC) conducts critical science and provides health information that protects our nation against expensive and dangerous health threats, and responds when these arise.
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) conducts research and makes recommendations for the prevention of work-related injury and illness.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) protects people and the environment from significant health risks, sponsors and conducts research, and develops and enforces environmental regulations.
Food and Drug Administration (FDA) protecting the public health by ensuring the safety, efficacy, and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices, the Nation's food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation.
