| Enzymes | Decreases the energy required for a reaction to occur, AKA protein catalysts |
| Hydrogen Peroxide | unstable compound, 2H2O2 -> 2H2O + O2 |
| Catalyst | a substance the speeds up a reaction but remains unchanged by the reaction, in activity 1 yeast |
| Substrates | the chemicals upon which the enzyme acts in the reaction |
| Sucrase | enzyme that breaks down the substate called sucrose |
| Catalase | enzyme in living organisms that acts upon the substate hydrogen peroxide |
| Effect of Boiling Enzymes | changes the shape of the enzyme |
