LAS Shock

What is the definition of Shock? Failure of Circulatory System (vital organs deprived of Oxygen - potential to be life threatening.
What causes Shock? Drug overdose, Severe blood loss, Loss of bodily fluid, Heart attack, Infection (overwhelming), Hypolglycaemia (LOW blood sugar), Anaphylactic shock, Spinal cord injury
What are the signs & symptoms of shock? Nausea & vomiting, Thirst, Weak thready pulse, Pale & cold & clammy skin, Cyanosis (Grey/Blue skin), Rapis shallow breathing, Weakness & dizziness
What is the treatment for shock? ELEVATE THE LEGS, treat any obvious injuries, loosen tight clothing, keep warm
