Gamete production and fertilisation

Where are gametes produced in males? The testes
Where is sperm produced? Seminiferous tubules
Where is testosterone produced? Interstitial cells
What do the prostate gland and seminal vesicles produce? Liquid which helps to maintain the mobility and viability of the sperm
Where are gametes produced in females? The ovaries
What do the ovaries contain? Ova at different stages of development
What is the follicles job? To protect the ovum and secret hormones
What is fertilisation? The fusion of the sperm and ovum's nuclei to produce a zygote
What does a zygote develop into? An embryo
