Planes and cavities in body

Sagittal(median) plane Divides body into left and right portions
Frontal(coronal) plane Divides body into anterior and posterior portions
Transverse( horizontal) plane Divides body into superior and inferior portions
Cranial Cavity Contains brain
Vertebral Cavity Contains the spinal cord
Thoracic Cavity (Meidastinum) Contains heart, thymus gland, trachea, and esophagus
Thoracic Cavity (Left and Right) Contains the lungs
Abdominal Cavity Contains the stomach, liver, spleen, gallbladder, and most of the small and large intestines
Pelvic Cavity Contains the rectum, urinary bladder, internal reproductive organs, and the rest of the large intestines
