Which type of transport uses energy? Active
Which type of transport doesn't use energy? Passive
What are the 3 types of passive transport? Diffusion, osmosis, and facilitated diffusion
What are the two types of active transport? Endocytosis and exocytosis
Which type of transport moves from a high concentration to low? Passive
Which type of transport moves from a low concentration to high? Active
What is diffusion the transport of? Molecules and chemicals that aren't water
What is osmosis the transport of? Water
What are the three types of osmosis? Isotonic, hypotonic, hypertonic
What is the movement of water in isotonic osmosis. Water goes both in and out in the same spot because there is an equal concentration both inside and outside the cell
What is facilitated diffusion? Diffusion with the aid of a transport protein
What is dynamic equilibrium? When the concentration is equal inside and outside the cell
What is endocytosis? Cell membrane engulfs external material for the cell to absorb
What is exocytosis? Cell moves materials from in the cell to extracellular fluid
What is concentration? Amount of solute in the solvent.
