| Diarrhea; | feces moves through colon too quickly and water is not reabsorbed - watery feces |
| Constipation; | feces moves through colon too slowly and too much water is reabsorbed - hard feces |
| Feces are made of; | water, undigested food, sloughed-off mucosal cells, bacteria |
