BTU British Thermal Unit, energy content of fuel
Watt joule/sec
Availability Factor fraction of given time period in which generating unit is available without an outage
Energy Yield Energy generated over a period divided by capacity
Remember about O&M if you are calculating for a year, then capacity * O&M
LCOE stands for Levelized Cost of Electricity
LCOE def economic measure to compare lifetime costs of electricity from various generation, essentially average electricity price you need to yield to breakeven, primarily used to compare rather than absolute
LCOE assumptions all cap ex is at t=0 and generation begins overnight
LCOE Formula = [CAPEX + PV(annual OM costs annuity)]/PV(annual Energy generated annuity)
