Intrinsic Muscles of The Hand
| Term | Definition |

| Flexion | Thumb bends medially along palm and fingers bend anteriorly. |
| Extension | Thumb points laterally and fingers move posteriorly. |
| Lumbricals | Flex fingers at metacarpophalangeal joints, but extend at interphalangela joints. |
| Palmar Interossei | Adducts Fingers. |
| Dorsal Interossei | Abduct (diverge) Fingers. |
| Abductor Digiti Minimi | Abducts little finger. |
| Flexor Digiti Minimi Brevis | Flexes little finger. |
| Opponens Digiti Minimi | Helps in opposition. |
| Abductor Pollicis Brevis | Abducts Thumb. |
| Flexor Pollicis Brevis | Flexes thumb. |
| Opponens Pollicis | Oppostion of thumb. |
| Adductor Pollicis | Adducts and helps to oppose thumb. |
