Cell Cycle the sequence of growth and division for a cell
what are the three stages of the cell cycle? interphase, mitosis, and cytokinesis
Chromatin DNA
What are chromatids made of? Chromatin
What are chromosomes made of? chromatids
What connects chromatids? centromere
interphase First stage of the cell cycle and the period during division. During this phase the cell matures, copies it's DNA and prepares to divide.
prophase the chromatin condenses and spindle fibers form. The nuclear membrane breaks apart.
Metaphase The chromosomes line up along the center of the cell
anaphase the spindle fiber splits the centromete and chromatids move to opposite sides of the cell
telophase the chromosomes loosen on each side and the nuclear membrane begins to form
cytokinesis the cell pinches and the cytoplasm divides.
