Photosynthesis

TermDefinition
Photosynthesis The process that producers use to make their own food.
Formula of photosynthesis H2O(water) + CO2 (carbon dioxide) + Energy (sun) = C6H12O6 (sugar) + O2 (oxygen).
Glucose Sugar that is made by plants.
Stomata Tiny openings that let carbon dioxide in and oxygen out.
H2O The chemical formula for water.
Roots The part of a plant which attaches it to the ground.
Chlorophyll A green pigment, present in all green plants and in cyanobacteria
CO2 The chemical formula for carbon dioxide.
O2 The chemical formula for oxygen.
