Stratified Squamous Epithelium -many layers of thin flat cells -protects against wear and tear -in skin, mouth, esophagus, vagina
Cuboidal Epithelium -cube shaped -secretory cells and absorption -in walls of glands, kidney tubules
Columnar Epithelium -single layer of tall rectangular cells -secretion and absorption -in lining of stomach, small intestine, digestive glands
Ciliated Columnar Epithelium -columnar cells w/ cilia on surface -move dust particles, ova, sperm -in upper respiratory tract, fallopian tubes, ducts of testes
Squamous Epithelium -sheets of thin flat cells -Lines surface where rapid diffusion -in lil wear & tear places -capillaries, lymph nodes, alveoli
