Circulatory System Transports needed substances throughout your body and carries away waste. Blood, heart, and blood vessels
Respiratory System Takes oxygen into the body and releases carbon dioxide and water. Nostrils, mouth, trachea, bronchi, lungs, bronchioles, alveoli, and diaphragm
Skeletal System Provides structure and support Protects internal organs Stores minerals Allows movement Produces blood cells Bones, cartilage, and ligaments
Muscular System Allows for movement of the body. Skeletal muscle, Smooth muscle, and Cardiac muscle
Integumentary System Protects the body from pathogens, damage and water loss Protects all organs tissues Excretes waste through sweat Regulates temperature Skin, hair, nails, and exocrine glands
Digestive System Breaks down food, absorbs nutrients, and gets rid of solid waste, Mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, and anus
Excretory System Removes waste produced by the activities of cells. Kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra
Nervous System Helps different parts of the body communicate. Brain, spinal cord, and nerves.
Endocrine System Collection of glands that release chemical messengers (hormones) into the bloodstream. Hypothalamus, Pineal, Pituitary, Thyroid, Thymus, Parathyroid, Adrenal, Pancreas, Ovaries, Testes
Immune/Lymphatic System Helps protect us against diseases by pathogens. Tonsils, Adenoids, Thymus, Spleen, Bone Marrow, and Appendix, Lymph Nodes, and White Blood Cells
Reproductive System Organs involved in creating a new organism. Female: Ovaries, Fallopian Tubes, Uterus, Vagina, Egg Male: Testes, Urethra, Penis, Sperm
