Hypoxemia low oxygen levels in the blood
Hypoxia An absence of enough oxygen in the tissues to sustain bodily functions.
Hypocapnia/Hypocarbia a decrease in alveolar and blood carbon dioxide (CO2) levels below the normal reference range of 35 mmHg.
Hypercapnia/Hypercarbia the increase in partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PaCO2) above 45 mmHg/ an increase in carbon dioxide in the bloodstream
