mycelium (plural – mycelia) filamentous mass seen with unaided eye as furry growth
some molds & yeasts are deep mycotic diseases meaning they involve lungs & other organs
some molds & yeasts are superficial mycotic diseases meaning they occur in buccal mucosa and skin (Candida albicans)
