Infectious disease Diseases are caused by other organisms
Pattern Something that happens in a repeated and predictable way
Vector Is an organism (other then aperson) that spreds diseases-causing germs usually without getting sick yourself
Carrier A person who can spread disease this term is usually applied to people while vector is usead to discribe other organisms ctypically animals
Microbe Creature too small to be seen with the naked eye
Cell The smallest structural unite enclosed by a membrane, that makes up all lving organisms
cell theory All living organisms are made up of cells. Cells are the basic units of structure and function in living organisms New cells are made from existing cells.
Germ theory of diseases The theory that microbes can cause infectious diseases
Unicellular organisms An organism made up of many cell
