Body Two- cardiovascular and lymphatic systems

Platelets pieces of larger cells that help blood clot
Hemoglobin oxygen carrying protein that gives blood its red color
Blood pressure the force that blood exerts on the walls of the arteries
Lymphatic system collection of organs that collect fluid (lymph) and return it to the blood
Lymph fluid that is collected by lymphatic system
Lymph nodes an organ found in the throat, armpits and groin that remove pathogens from the lymph
Thymus main gland of the lymphatic system that produces WBC
Spleen largest lymphatic organ that recycles and destroys old red blood cells
Tonsils small round masses of tissue in the throat that trap pathogens
Bone Marrow found in the center of long bones and produces RBC and WBC
