how could you distinguish between a viral or prior diseases from the other pathogen types? viral disease can't survive without a host they can only reproduce by attaching themselves to cells
how could you distinguish between a bacterial infection from the other pathogen types? in a bacterial infection the pathogens reproduce rapidly after entering the body
how could you distinguish between a fungal infection from the other pathogen types? Fungal infections are more complicated and they are eukaryotes which mean they have cells
how could you distinguish between a protozoan infection from the other pathogen types? with protozoan infections the agent is independent and the parasites live either intracellular or extracellular
how could you distinguish between a multicellular parasite infection from the other pathogen types? it derives nutrients at the expense of it's host
