what is mitosis? its the division of the cell nucleus.
what enters the cell membrane? food, oxygen, and water.
what exits through the cell membrane? wastes.
what is surface area? rate of exchange.
what is volume? rate of nutrient use and waste production.
what is the cell cycle? recurring events that take place in the period of time from the beginning of one cell division to the beginning of the next.
what is interphase? longest part of the cell cycle.
what is the third phase of mitosis? its anaphase.
how many phases are in mitosis? four.
what happens after mitosis? cytokinesis.
what is G1? first phase in interphase. the cell grows and performs regular activities.
when does the nuclear membrane disappear? during prophase.
what are the chromatids held together by? centromere.
what is DNA made up of? genetic material and proteins.
what is the S phase? when the chromatins replicate themselves.
