What is division of the cell's nucleus called? The division of the cell's nucleus is called mitosis.
What is division of the cytoplasm called? Division of the cytoplasm is called cytokinesis.
What happens to the cell before cell division? The genetic information is copied so each cell can have its own complete set of information.
What are chromosomes made up of? Chromosomes are made up of DNA and proteins.
When are chromosomes visible? Chromosomes are visible during cell division.
What happen when the DNA of a cell replicates? When the DNA replicates each chromosome represents 2 copies of DNA.
What are the two stages eukaryotes cell division occurs in? The two stages are mitosis and cytokinesis.
What is the phase where the cells line up across the center of the cell? This phase is metaphase.
What is the last stage of Mitosis called? The last stage of Mitosis is called Telophase.
What do centrioles do during prophase? They separate and take position on opposite sides of the nucleus.
What are the three phases of interphase? The three stages are G1,S,and G2.
