What is interphase? It is the period fo the cell cycle between cell divisions.
How many phases does the cell cycle have? The cell cycle has 4 phases.
What are the 4 phases of mitosis? The 4 phases of mitosis are prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase.
What is the longest phase of mitosis? The longest phase of mitosis is prophase.
What phase of mitosis lasts for only a few minutes? Metaphase is a phase of mitosis that lasts for only a few minutes.
What happens in anaphase? During anaphase, centromerers that join the sister chromatids split.
When does anaphase stop? Anaphase stops when the chromosomes stop moving.
What is the result of mitosis? The result of mitosis is 2 nuclei that are formed in the cytoplasm of the cell.
What is not visible in most cells except during cell divison? Chromosomes are not visible in most cells except during cell division.
In what phase of interphase do cells do most of their growing? In the G1 phase of interphase is where cells do most of their growing.
