| Igneous Rock | a rock that forms from molten or partyl molten rock that cools and hardens |
| Metamorphic Rock | rock forms from existing rock because of extreme pressure of chemical enviornment |
| Sedimentary Rock | rock formed by layers of sediment that lay together and get squeezed together or are chemically combined |
| Topography | the surface shape and composition of a land area |
| Volcano | vent or fissure in the Earth's surface through wich magma and its associated materials are expelled |
| Weathering | the natural processes that breaksdown and changes rock into soil, sand or other materials. It differs from erosion because no transportation occurs |
