stem cells

what are stem cells? Stem cells are cells in the body which are unspecialised and they can divide to produce more cells
what are the two types of stem cell? embryonic stem cells and adult stem cells
what can stem cells help us do? grow new organs to be used in transplants, produce crops, cone and save rare plants from extinction
what are some problems with stem cells? the cells can transfer viruses and lead to cancer, and ome people have ethical or religious objections, as the embryo that was destroyed to get the stem cells was potentially a human life
