General classes of modifying enzymes

Kinases​ Add a Phosphate group to a molecule​
Phosphatases​ Remove Phosphates from molecule​
Ligases​ Sew two nucleic acids together​
Exonucleases​ Degrade nucleic acids from (5' and/or 3') terminal towards middle​
Endonucleases​ Degrade nucleic acids from the middle of a sequence​
RNase or DNase​ An endonuclease
Polymerases​ Making of nucleic acid by adding nucleotides to a sequence​
Glycosylase​ Cleaving glycosidic bond between sugar and base​
RNase Inhibitor​ Inhibits RNase activities​
Klenow Fragment​ A 5-3’ DNA-dependent DNA polymerase. May also have 3-5’ exonuclease activity​ (if not exo-Klenow)
