Key Word Definitions

Biodiversity The variety of living things
Species A group of organisms that have similar characteristics and can interbreed to produce fertile offspring
Variation Differences in characteristics
Interdependence The way that organisms depend on each other for basic needs like food and shelter
Ecosystem The name given to the plants and animals that are found in a particular location and the area in which they live
