What are the 2 methods of DNA sequencing? 1) Sanger method (based on DNA replication where copied fragments end with a chain terminating dNTP) 2) Automated method (continuous gel reafs fragments as they're made)
What does Sanger method produce? Nested fragments
What is CRISPR Genome editing tool. Allows the modification of genes inside live cells
Describe the CRISPR system 1) Cas9 enzyme unwinds and cuts DNA 2) Guide RNA (gRNA) brings the Cas9 to the target DNA. gRNA is synthesized by man to anneal with the bad region of a target gene
