Cell Theory States that the cell is the basic unit of life, all living organisms are made of cells, and all cells come from preexisting cells
Cell A basic unit of structure and function in living organisms
Eukaryotic A cell that contains an organized nucleus
Prokaryotic A cell that does not contain a nucleus
Multicellular An organism made up of more than one cell
Unicellular An organism made up of one cell
Nucleus A structure within a cell that contains the cell’s DNA and is responsible for providing instructions to the cell regarding growth and reproduction
Autotroph An organism that can make its own food
Heterotroph An organism that cannot make their own food
Taxonomy the process or system of describing the ways in which organisms are grouped or classified according to similarities and differences
Domain broadest taxonomic classification of organisms
Kingdom second broadest taxonomic classification of organisms
Sexual Reproduction mode of reproduction with two parents
Asexual Reproduction mode of reproduction with only one parent
