Evolution Change over time, process where modern organisms have descended from ancient organisms.
Theory A well-supported testable explanation of phenomena that have occurred in the natural world.
HMS Beagle A voyage that set sail in England in 1831 that went around the world.
Fossils The preserved remains of ancient organisms.
Galapagos Islands Group of small islands located 1000 km West of South America.
What did Darwin’s Travels reveal about the number and variety of living species? It showed that he saw far more diversity on he's trip than he's ever saw.
What is evolution? Evolution is the change of a species over time.
Why is evolution referred to as a theory? A theory is an idea about how something looks and it has to go through a lot of test, observations, and experiments that shows it's right or wrong.
