nucleolus makes ribosomes which ultimately make proteins
nuclear envelope protects the chromatin, acts like the cell membrane
nuclear pores allows certain molecules to pass in and out of the nucleus
chromatin uncoiled DNA directs the cells everyday actions
chromosomes Form of DNA during anaphase after chromatids have been pulled apart
chromotid Only called a chromatid when it is attached to another
centriomere Structure that holds two chromatids together in a replicated chromosome
binary fision the cell reproduction process that prokaryotes go through
interphase cells receive a message
mitosis cells make an exact copy of the nucleus through 4 phase
prophase first part of mitosis , the longest
metaphase the second part of mitosis, the shorest
telaphase The foruth and final phase of mitosis.
s phase dublicates the DNA
G1 makes the cell grows by 20%, checks it the cell is big enough.
G2 the cell continues to grow make sure the DNA has not been damaged
cytokinesis Cytokinesis- builds up the cell membrane so cell can separate
cyclin A protien to check if the cell is big enough.
