| nuclear envelope | protects the chromatin, acts like the cell membrane |
| nuclear pores | allows certain molecules to pass in and out of the nucleus |
| chromatin | uncoiled DNA directs the cells everyday actions |
| chromosomes | Form of DNA during anaphase after chromatids have been pulled apart |
| chromotid | Only called a chromatid when it is attached to another |
| centriomere | Structure that holds two chromatids together in a replicated chromosome |
| binary fision | the cell reproduction process that prokaryotes go through |
| interphase | cells receive a message |

| s phase | dublicates the DNA |
| G1 | makes the cell grows by 20%, checks it the cell is big enough. |
| G2 | the cell continues to grow make sure the DNA has not been damaged |
| cytokinesis | Cytokinesis- builds up the cell membrane so cell can separate |
| cyclin | A protien to check if the cell is big enough. |
