TermDefinition
Hyphae are chains of threadlike fungal filaments.
Mycorrhiza is a partnership between fungi and the roots of plants.
Lichen is a partnership between fungi and green algae.
Vascular System is a system of tube-like tissues that transports water, nutrients, and other materials from one part of an organism to another part.
Seed is a plant embryo enclosed in a protective coating.
Pollen is a tiny structure in which sperm forms in seed plants.
Gymnosperm are plants that produce seeds that are not enclosed in a fruit.
Angiosperm are vascular plants that produce flowers and fruits which surround and protect seeds.
Pollination happens when pollen lands on the female plant reproductive structure and fertilizes the eggs.
Stamen is the male reproductive structure of flowers.
Pistil _is the female reproductive structure of flowers.
