mitosis and meiosis vocab

TermDefinition
Prophase when nucleus goes away and chromosomes condense
Metaphase when chromosomes line up in middle of the cell
Anaphase when chromatids are pulled to opposite ends of the cell
Telophase when the cell breaks into two new cells
Diploid cells that have the normal number of chromosomes
Haploid cells that have half the number of chromosomes
Zygote cell that is created after egg is fertilized with sperm
mitosis asexual reproduction
meiosis sexual reproduction
gamete sex cells, egg and sperm are examples
fertilization when the sperm reached the egg cell
