Hito-Respiratory System

The respiratory system is composed of the nasal cavity, pharynx, trachea, bronchi, and lungs
four paranasal sinuses frontal, maxillary, sphenoidal, and ethmoid sinuses
Air enters the nose and passes through the nasal cavity where fine hairs catch many of the dust particles that we inhale
After passing through the nasal cavity, air reaches pharynx or throat
larynx or voice box sound production and makes speech possible
convey air to and from the lungs trachea or windpipe
The trachea divides into two branches bronchi (singular form, bronchus)
The smallest branches of the bronchi bronchioles
At the end of bronchial tree alveoli (singular form, alveolus)
right lung three lobes
left lung two lobes
diaphragm a muscular partition that separates the lungs from the abdominal cavity
