Sensory Evaluation Scientifically testing food using the human senses , of smell, taste, sight, touch, hearing
Sensory Characteristics The qualities of a food identified by the senses
Flavor The distinct quality that comes from a foods unique blend
Garnish A decorative arrangement added to a food or drink
Taste Blind The inability to distinguish between flavors of some foods
Taste Buds Sensory organs located on the tongue
Olfactory Identifies the organs related to the sense of smell
Volatile Easily changed into vapor
Mouth feel How a food feels in the mouth
Sensory Evaluation Panel Groups of people who evaluate the sensory characteristics of food samples
