TermDefinition
Bacteria is a domain of prokaryotes that usually have a cell wall and that usually reproduce by cell division.
Archaea is a domain of prokaryotes that are genetically very different from bacteria and that have unique chemicals in their cell walls.
Binary Fission is reproduction in which one single-celled organism splits into two single-celled organisms.
Host is a living thing that a virus or parasite uses for resources or shelter.
Virus is a microscopic particle that cannot replicate on its own.
Protists is a group of eukaryotic organisms that cannot be classified fungi, plants, or animals.
Gametes cells that join together during sexual reproduction that each contains a single copy of the genes for the organism.
Spores are reproductive cells that are resistant to stressful environmental conditions.
Algae _are multicellular plant like protists that contain chlorophyll.
Fungi are spore-producing organisms that absorb nutrients from the environment.
