Scientific Method

| Conclusion | short paragraph that discusses the overall results of an experimental procedure and explains whether the proposed hypothesis at the beginning of the experiment was correct or not. |
| Experiment | a procedure done in a controlled environment for the purpose of gathering observations, data, or facts, demonstrating known facts or theories, or testing hypotheses or theories. |
| Hypothesis | an educated guess |
| Observation | The data measured, collected, during an experiment |
| Scientific Method | a process by which observations are questioned; hypotheses are created and tested; and the results are analyzed. |
