Base carrying, supports on a surface
Arm carrying, supports body tube above the stage
Slide holds the specimen
Cover Glass lies over the specimen on the slide, protects specimen
Stage surface for the slide
Stage Clips/Spring Clip hold the slide in place on the stage
Illuminator provides light for viewing the specimen
Scanning Lens used for finding objects (5x)
Low Power Objective Lens magnifies the image 10x
High Power Objective Lens magnifies the image 40x
Eyepiece/Ocular lens you look into for viewing, magnifies the image 10x
Body Tube maintain the correct distance between the eyepiece and the objective lens
Coarse Adjustment Knob make MAJOR focus changes by moving stage or body tube up and down
Fine Adjustment Knob MINOR focusing changes
Nosepiece allows you to change from one objective lens to another
Iris Diaphragm regulate the amount of light that passes up to the specimen
Iris Diaphragm Lever allows changes in the diaphragm opening to increase or decrease the amount of light to the specimen
Stage Hole opening in the stage which allows light to pass from below stage to the lens
