The Senses

| Cornea | Allow light to enter |
| Conjunctiva | outer layer of the cornea protects the eye against infection |
| Lens | Focuses light on the retina |
| Retina | Contains rods and cones Converts light into nerve impulses |
| Sclera | Protective outer layer of the eye |
| Choroid | Contains blood vessels to nourish the eye |
| Iris | Controls the amount of light entering the eye |
| Pupil | Lets light into the back of the eye |
| Cillary muscle | Controls the shape of the lens |
| Fovea | Contains cones provide colour |
| Blind spot | No rods or cones |
| Vitreous humour | Fluid that give the eye its shape |
| Optic nerve | Carries impulses from rods and coned to the brain |
| Pinna | Collects sound |
| Auditory canal | Carries vibrations to the eardrum Wax traps dust and bacteria |
| Eardrum | Tightly stretched membrane carries vibrations to the middle ear |
| Ossicles | Contains three bone: Hammer, anvil and stirrup amplify vibrations from the eardrum |
| Semi circular canals | Control balance |
| Cochlear (audiotry) nerve | Carries impulses fro the cochlea to the brain |
| Cochlea | Converts sound to nerve impulses |
| Eustachian tube | Connected to the pharynx equalises pressure |
