Genetic Variation from Meiosis

karyotype a photograph of an individuals' chromosomes that is used to detect any abnormalities
nondisjunction a common meiosis error; occurs when one or more pairs of homologous chromosomes or sister chromatids do not separate normally during anaphase 1 or 2; results in gametes having too few or too many chromosomes
