| Gene Expression | HOw DNA turns into RNA and RNA turns into a polypeptide |
| Histone | Group of proteins that help DNA condense into a chromatin |
| Operon | Cluster of genes controlled by the same promoter |
| Promoter | Where transcription begins and directs transcription |
| Transcription Factor | Helps transcribe DNA into RNA, can activate or inactivate the rpocess |
| Conjugation | Process where bacteria transfer genetic material from one to another directly |
| Host Cell | Cell that's being used by the virus |
| Sterility | Unable to sexually reproduce |
| Tranduction | Foreign DNA is introduced into a cell |
| Transformation | Uptake of Free DNA from the environment |
| Transposition | Genes are transferred from one organism to another |
| Triploidy | Containing three of a certain chromosome |
